Pukaar's Watershed management & Land Restoration projects
Watershed Management & Regenerative Farming Project – Kathiwada, Madhya Pradesh (30 Acres)
Project Overview
Pukaar Eco Services implemented a holistic Watershed Management and Regenerative Agriculture Project on a 30-acre farmland in Kathiwada, Madhya Pradesh, aiming to revive soil health, enhance water security, and create a climate-resilient farm ecosystem.
The project aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
Key Challenges:
Rapid water runoff and soil erosion causing land degradation.
Poor water retention due to absence of catchment systems.
Low organic matter and soil fertility impacting farm productivity.

Ecological Solutions Delivered:
Watershed Mapping & Hydrology Analysis
Swales, Farm Ponds & Recharge Structures
Erosion Control & Soil Regeneration
Upcoming Plan
Agroforestry & Regenerative Farming Design
Farmer Training & Community Involvement

Project Impact
30-acre land rejuvenated with improved water retention and soil fertility.
60% reduction in water runoff and topsoil erosion.
Increased groundwater recharge through decentralized water harvesting structures.
Enhanced farm productivity and biodiversity through regenerative agriculture practices.
Contributed to SDG 6 (Clean Water), SDG 13 (Climate Resilience), SDG 15 (Ecosystem Restoration).
